What does motherhood feel like?

I can't help but feel a tinge of bittersweet reflection.
What does motherhood feel like? To me, it's a constant a gradual change from one season to the next. As I look through old photos of my daughters, I keep wondering where the time went. You never realize when the last of something occurs: the sleepless nights, sloppy baby kisses, the baby babbles, or playing with certain toys until you look back and can't remember the last time it happened.
If you knew it would be the last time, would you treasure it a little more? Or perhaps we would spend grieving all the lasts instead of embracing the firsts.
I will never know when something will be last, but I can live more mindfully and cherish all the present moments.
